Live on the 6 train

For several years my work was seen on WLNY-TV's news at 11. The station is based on Long Island but can be viewed throughout the New York City market. If you ride the subway, you probably recognize this promotional poster for the station's 8PM movies.

don't Mille-knock it till you've tried it

I absolutely love this photo by John Fitzpatrick....it's of a campsite near Mt. Kahtahdin in Maine, on the way to Millinocket. That's not a moose, that's a sea plane.

Big shellfish....small pond

One of the most interesting years of my life was spent as the 6,10& 11 pm anchor at WVII & WFVX-TV in Bangor,Maine. I love how authentic the state is, mom and pop businesses still abound, and the people have a distinct sense of culture.
Also nothing beats meeting a lobsterman at Wal-Mart who watches you on TV.
Saveur Magazine just named Maine to it's top 100.

in the field with Frank

This photo was taken at a school where kids dress up as doctors, then volunteer at a blood drive.

all the news that's fit to blog

Greetings! This is my first blog....my goal was to share my news philosophy, as well as give some attention to the news professionals who inspire me. It also seems to be serving as a chance for me to reminisce about the places across the country news has taken me.
